Ben Whaley is the founder of WhaleTech. He was a central member of the technical team behind Apigee Edge, a globally-distributed API management platform built on AWS (now owned by Google). He helped to build and operate the services for Anki, a robotics and artificial intelligence company based in San Francisco.

Ben was selected as one of the first Amazon Web Services Community Heroes. Ben is a co-author of the UNIX and Linux System Administration Handbook and other educational works on system administration. He maintains the CISSP credential, and was previously an RHCE and a PCI QSA.
